Frequently asked questions
What are your opening hours?
We're open 7 days, 6am to 11pm, all year round, including public holidays.
Do you have machines that fit a king size doona?
Yes. Our 18 kg washers take doonas up to super king size, and they dry easily in our 20 kg dryers. Allow at least 45 minutes to dry a big doona.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, card, your mobile phone, or tokens from the token machine. Paying cash is cheapest: see the prices above. Tokens can't be changed back into cash, but you can keep any left over for your next wash or dry.
Do you sell detergent?
Yes, from the vending machine in store. You're also welcome to bring your own. Whichever you use, follow the instructions on the packet: too much detergent makes extra suds, which affect the rinse, and over-sudsed loads can't be refunded.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking in the ALDI and Chemist Warehouse car park. You'll find us at Shop 6, 41–43 Kirkwood Cres, Hampton Park, off Pound Road.
Can I wash pet bedding or shoes?
No. Because of health regulations and public safety, we don't have dedicated machines for pet items, so they can't be washed or dried here, and penalties apply. Shoes and boots aren't allowed either, because they damage the machines.
Can I leave my washing and come back?
Yes, but please be back when it finishes. If other customers are waiting, finished laundry left in a machine may be taken out, and we can't take responsibility for lost or stolen items.
What if a machine takes my money or stops working?
Call us on 0451 352 224 and we'll help sort it out, as long as you've followed the directions on the machine's labels. Please check the machine number before you pay: payments made to the wrong machine can't be refunded.
Can I just use the dryers?
Yes. Plenty of people wash at home and bring their washing here to dry. Customers using our washers have priority for the dryers.
